Please join us as Harris Bloom's NYC-based animal rescue (www.stewietotherescue.org) raises funds to help TWO cat related causes...
1 - One man, Glen Venezio, spends almost his entire day feeding, and doing TNR work, for stray kittens in two different towns in Puerto Rico. He is always short on cash, and we're gonna help him...
2 - A rescuer in Staten Island left the country in November and is not returning. In the process, she has abandoned over 70 cats that were in her care, living in her home. A small group of animal activists/rescuers has been helping the cats, paying for food, litter, cleaning supplies, and vet care out of their own pockets, taking time from their own lives to care for them on a daily basis, and networking to relocate them to good homes.
You can help just by coming to this show (paying your cover) and laughing!
Comics on this show include...
Harris Bloom (Founder/Prez "Stewie to the Rescue")
Mark New (NY comedy clubs)
Robin Fox (1st Place - 2012 Ladies of Laughter)
Chris Monty (Off-Broadway show "Shut Up, Sit Down & Eat!")
Vince August (The Daily Show)
The MC will be Joanne Filan (Women in Comedy Festival)
Stewie to the Rescue! was founded in 2010 by a group of anmial lovers who recognized that the prohibitive cost of space, training, and health care is leading to the unnecessary abandonment and euthanization of scores of adoptable pets. To the end, Stewie to the Rescue specializes in helping the neediest cases by providing emergency funding and raising awareness.
